Very similar to what happens in American football. The refs can call "Holding" on EVERY play. EVERYONE holds... it's up to the refs to catch it.

Yes, it was handball. Yes, it should have been called. No, it wasn't. That's part of the game. It's not Henry's fault. He is doing all he can to win the game. Can't blame him for that.

Heck does anyone remember Maradona's "miracle" header some 20 years ago in the World Cup? This is not new... Feel badly for the Irish, but that's just the way it is sometimes.

Exactly. Think of all of the bad calls in the MLB playoffs this year, if they replayed every game where the bad call impacted the final score, the WS wouldn't have started yet!

There's no way that FIFA should allow a replay.

I would not have expected less from Henry.

I agree ,Henry has always shown fair-play. He even admitted that he pushed the ball with his hand and when questioned by the Irish players he replied that "I am not the referee"!
Trapattoni also made a statement that if the referee had asked Henry at the time..,most beleive that Henry would have said it was hand ball,but the referee didnt ask him!
So I take my hat off to Henry ,all the Irish protests will come to nothing,the French will go to the South Africa and all this will be forgotten.My two cents
