Yeah, when I saw that story, I thought that it was pretty funny that his wife could just tell the cops to come back the next day.

If you were a cop, would you just take her word on him even napping anyway? Isn't she a suspect?

Possibly filing a false police report. Or lying to the authorities. Unless the officers first on the scene were rent-a-cops which I doubt holds the same penalty. She originally told them she broke the rear window in a rescue attempt.

Windermere police chief Daniel Saylor has said Woods’ wife, Elin, used a golf club to smash out a rear window to help him get out of the SUV when she heard the crash from inside their home at 2:25 a.m. Friday.

“The only person responsible for the accident is me,” Woods said. “My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.”
