I WISH we would get a decent amount of snow here in the north-east! It's a lot of trouble to change to f...ing winter wheels and tires every season -- I want to use them!!!

That actually was a problem for this past weekend's storm. Virginia ran out of places to put the snow; parking lots have piles of snow that hadn't melted by then, so at this point what VDOT is going is just putting them at intersections at the abutments and kerbs.

A few pics of my X5 in this past weekend's Snowmageddon storm in NOVA.

11pm Friday night


10am Saturday morning








Starting the plowing/shoveling process to get to the road. I would "plow" with the X5 until it got stuck. Then shovel it out. Plow some more. Shovel some more.


2.5 hrs of this madness later, I finally bust through the last of the snow bank in my driveway and onto the street.


Returning from a quick victory lap after making it to the road.


Getting stuck going back into the driveway after the victory lap. Lady Victory can be a cruel mistress.
