The guy at Verizon last night even said they couldn't compete with it.

My coverage was good with Sprint; not perfect but way better than AT&T. I gave in for the iPhone and as I stated, Sprint is really dropping the ball on handsets. They were on the cutting edge for a while with a great selection of smart phones but haven't stepped up. Plus, if I wanted to upgrade to something like the Evo from my older Android handset Sprint was going to add that $10 surcharge for 4G even though there is zero 4G in my area.

So far, we're loving our iPhones. I was talking to SuperGreg a few minutes ago and I told him that while I have always had issues with my HTC handsets (all 6 of them), I have never heard anyone complain about iPhones, whether the original or the 4. Apple is pretty tough to beat.
Here's a tip Kev, you have a Mac, so go to the Mac App store and download "Ringer". It let's you create free ringtones from your iTunes library for your new iPhones

That's the other thing. Some of the new Apps wont work on my 3G and that just won't do.

Lots of new phones coming out this summer. Blackberry has some surprisingly good ones coming out to again be competitive, the new iPhone will be perhaps smaller & faster, and the Adroid phones continue to impress.

Since my Sprint contract is up in June, I may have lots to decide.

Blackberry has been improving since their first touch screen disaster known as the Storm. I am looking forward to their tablet device too but no matter how good they get, they are still behind Apple in that the iPhone is so advanced and once someone is in the clutches of Apple, like I am with the iPad and a MacBook, it is very difficult to ignore how well an iPhone integrates. It's quite sickening, actually.

Day 2 with iPhone 4 and digging it.

I have a iPod Touch (essentially an iPhone that cannot make phone calls), and I see the attraction. Over the last several phones, I have gotten used to having a physical keyboard, and find I can't type on a piece of glass quite as well. I use my phone primarily as a messenging device (calls, texts and emails), rather than gaming, GPS, or the other uses. Blackberry's focus has always been messaging, with the other stuff as extra. I get the impression that many other smartphones seem to be focused on the other stuff, more than messaging. Am I wrong?
