At least on the e53, the 19"s (on 4.4 Sport) are the Diamaris-- which have a stiffer sidewall (I believe they are Z rated) than the Energys (I think only H rated). Big difference in durability and ride quality between those 2.

That being said on my '01 3.0 Sport with 18"s I put on 60K miles on my 1st set of Energys, got 40K on my 2nd set (Discount Tire thinks I might have gotten a bad batch of them so I got a pro-rate on them) and I'm on 5K on my newest Energys. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" for me as far as the Energys. I've always had Michelins on my cars---well worth the little extra $.

Why do you think we need an "official thread" in the Lounge when we have an entire forum dedicated to tires?

Quicksilver will become famous soon enoughQuicksilver will become famous soon enough
It isn't needed. It was just my tongue and cheek
effort to have a little fun and join the rest of the
crowd that was in the process of ignoring said forum
with their tire thoughts.

Nothing specific mind you, Not shopping, not buying
anything. Just "LOUNGING" around musing about ma tires.......

You need a new hobby.

I changed the thread title so others will not be confused or misguided.

Also, for the 1,000,000th time, you CAN NOT link to search results. (You did in your first post.) Those links do not work. It comes up blank for anyone but you.
