Back in the day I remember when it was a new car, it was so stripped that it wasn't even funny. It would be say a Ford Escort, and one of the features that they would mention it had was California emissions. And that was about it.

When I was a kid and watched "Price is Right" and heard them list "California emissions" when describing the car and not growing up in CA, I wondered what the heck kind of option that was. It sounded as cool as "bucket seats".
