I said that in the first video, the 918 sounded like crap. Go back and listen again, something is really wrong with the car. It seems to be skipping and clanking. Sounds fine in the second video.
The ManTEET is an abomination. IMO It does not belong because everything else is either a classic factory car, a historic car, or a new special model from a manufacturer. The Mantide is a Corvette that had all factory parts removed and replaced with someones idea of 'styling'. Kit car. Did anyone show up with a Cobra kit car there? I will say that the car looks and probably is very well done, with perfect body gaps, but it is what it is.
Ah, the old Viper truck comparo. It is what it is. The first prototype had a truck engine with 2 extra cylinders, then for the real car they handed a lot of the engineering to Lamborghini. The first cars were exciting and crude, but they slowly added power windows, stereos, A/C etc. but they never added stability or traction control, power steering columns, compasses in the mirror, heated/cooled power seats, electro-assisted steering, etc. Never had an automatic transmission or paddle shifters. Sounds like a drivers car to me, a real mans car. The final versions were of course designed and built by the Germans (Daimler/Chrysler) and became more refined, and lost the great styling of the original, but never lost that smile on my face feel.
Name another sports car with 600+ hp, manual gearbox, no electro nannies under $100,000.
Like us Viper guys say, the car DOES have stability control: your left foot and your right foot LEARN HOW TO USE THEM!
