Cross your fingers for us!!! GOT IT!

The family and I are making a move (hopefully!) out of the congested suburbs of Metairie next to New Orleans and will be finding out if we get our little slice of rural heaven tomorrow! We have an offer up on a property in Tickfaw... 5.22 acres with a 2200 sq.ft 4 bed 3.5 bath house at the dead end of a street, against woods. I will go from living 5 minutes from work to living 45 minutes from work, but am getting back my old E36 325is 5speed for a good gas mileage daily driver for the work commute anyways. (18mpg w/4.6is vs 28+mpg w/325is)

It is down to two offers, ours and some other offer... so we upped ours more than average to tip the odds in our favor. We really want this property as when it is all said and done with and the house in the burbs is sold we will have doubled the money invested back in the bank, so the move is great in so many ways.

Just venting a bit as this has been tying up 90% of my brain for the last week, which has seemed like a month.... anxiety is a bitch!

Well everyone, keep your fingers crossed for us! We find out tomorrow if we get it!

Centered in the 1st pic, just to the bottom right of the star in the second

Good luck! Hope you get it.

Looks like you may find a few more places to take the X off roading around there.

For sure, this house is the last house on the left on a dead end street, but it continues through the woods as a dirt road. Just looking down that road I saw numerous rabbits and raccoons, and there are plenty of little foxes in the area too. So I will have plenty of fun out there. But I will most likely leave the X5 in the driveway and take the 3wheeler back there for the real offroad fun.

It sounds like a piece of Heaven. I hope you get it, you deserve it. I'm headed to New Orleans next Wednesday to help my brother move back LA. I am driving the 26ft Penske with trailer.

Cheers

Metry is congested, esp with the Causeway Blvd construction. Lots of people are moving from there to the North Shore.

And where we are looking on the northshore isn't Covington where most are moving... its the sticks where new subdivisions are not popping up often at all. Hopefully we hear before I get off of work later so we can shoot over there after work for a few things.

By this point, eyes are more crossed than fingers!
