What Weasel said about GT5 compared to the others is pretty much spot on, but it does seem like they could have done even more with the time they spent developing this version. I wasn't completely blown away by it compared to other versions.

Some of the things that bug me are that there are way too many Japanese models compared to others, the sound of the other cars engines sometimes overwhelms your engine so it can be hard to shift based on engine noise, no brake upgrades, transmission adjustments are simplified to only changing top speed of the vehicle (no individual gear options), some graphic glitches, playing online can be confusing, etc.

I know there are 12 cars in most races in GT mode. I don't play online or in arcade mode very much, so I am not exactly sure about them.
