Does anyone have a snow plow on the X5?

Changed the oil on the Ariens today, filled it with gas (some old gas that has been 'stabilized') and got it ready for a whole lotta use this winter. We're expecting a few inches overnight and the possibility of up to 6 inches Monday night into Tuesday.

The Ariens is 4 years old and the thing runs like new. Tecumsah (sp?) makes some great engines. Even a city boy like me can't F it up!

Thanks, everyone. I think I will be buying an Ariens deluxe or Honda track Drive snowblower. Money I would have otherwise spent on X5 mods.
Although a Bobcat will also be nice , but expensive and will use a garage space. The heated driveway option costs $10-$15 per sq. ft to install.

Honda makes the best small engines, period (and some of the best automotive engines as well.)

Well, if no one will come right out and say it...

You can't put a snow plow on the front of your X. There isn't a frame there to bolt it to. It is a car, with a unibody.

If you put a rear-mounted blade on it, you can only use the toy models that attach to the 2" hitch receiver. They are a waste of time, IMO. It also wouldn't be very hard to bend the hitch receiver.

An 80' driveway isn't too big for a snowblower, unless it is very wide. I had a 30 foot driveway, 32 foot wide to match my oversize 3 car garage, plus sidewalks, paths, and patio. It was easy to keep on top of with a 28" snowblower.

Ariens or Honda, particularly if the Ariens comes with a Honda engine.
