Will be off-line for much of the week....
My mother-in-law passed away on Saturday, and the calling hours and the funeral are on Tuesday and Wednesday. I traveled down to Ohio today to be with the family. I was blessed that I did not have the stereotypical "mother-in-law" situation and was very close with her and the rest of my wife's family.

My wife, being the only daughter and the youngest in a family of 5 kids, was very close to her mom, so she is taking this very hard. Sue had been battling lung cancer for the past year, though, so at least there was time to prepare as best you can for this day.

Godspeed, Sue Echols, you will be forever in our thoughts and in our hearts!!

I'm very sorry to hear that Jeff. I can't imagine what you and your wife, as well as the rest of the family, is going through at this point. Hang in there, remember Sue for all the laughs, and keep the family strong.

My deep and sincere condolences in this difficult times for you and your family. It must be particularly tough for your wife. As men we do not always understand how close a mother and daughter can be.
