The point is that a BMW is a luxury vehicle that puts a huge focus on handling. Neither of those to elements are important to Chevy. The only well handling Chevy is the Corvette.

When it comes down to it, I would venture a guess that 90% (and that 90% is being conservative) of X5 drivers never even come close to taking advantage of an X5's handling prowess.

Also, the $5,500 someone spends for the SS option isn't all engine, it's suspension and handling upgrades as well.

My house value is just fine thank you very much

By the way, just for the record, I don't have an accent, and I'm really from the North Shore of Long Island (Manhasset to be exact) , I just live in NJ now....

I'm surprised that your neighbors allow you to have an X5 in the Bay Area!
Owning such a non-PC, non-evironmentally friendly vehicle as an X5 up there is cause for public flogging isn't it? (having lived there back in the 90's for awhile, I know the truth, so don't go trying to b.s. me either ))

X5??? LOL..no X5 here.. the only vehicles in the garage are my gas guzzling M5 and S4.. Of course, that's still better than all the hummers, Gallardo, Continental GTs, Silver Spurs and 360's in the area!

oh.. talk about non PC cars.. I saw an undisguised Veyron with no tags on it on my way back home today going through Redwood City.. Had to do a double take on that since I thought the car is not even out yet.. sorry no pics but it's a truly awesome looking and sounding car.

Tell me about it, if I ever want to see in person what's on the cover of the latest Motor Trend/Road & Track/Car and Driver I just head home to the parents house on L.I. and have a cup of coffee up on the main drag in town and watch the parade of $100,000 cars go by... (and just for the record, the parents own an '05 Yukon )

the X5 would take the blazer ss in the autobahn for 1/4 mile the blazer got it.I just race an escalade and i beat it by 5 cars with only 225 hp 3.0 x3.
