Above Average S Bowl Game...

'game-wise', imo, sandwiched between the continual barrage of ads, promos, etc.
The National Anthem and the BEPs were, ah...unusual to say the least.

I gotta go out and get some BEPs CDs today. ...

Darth Vader was the BEST.

Didn't watch the whole game or the Half-Time. Were the BEP Bad? As bad as the butchering of the National Anthem?

I think Christina is getting ripped unnecessarily. Her rendition was awesome, other than flubbing a line.

The halftime was fine, with the BEP. I have seen worse (ie, The Who).

The commericials were less than impressive this year, in my opinion.

The Packers were great in the first quarter. After that, they barely hung on because the Steelers were intent on screwing up periodically.

The game wasn't good until the Steelers got back into it. I think that there is a kicker getting kicked too.

The half-time show was surreal. I thought they were replaying a half-time show from 5 years ago when people paid attention to the BEPs and Slash. Slash??? He's more like 15 years ago relevant. All of them sucked.

The best part of the day was the pulled pork sandwiches at the 'Bowl party I went to.

What message was in that, "buy our Passat because it has a feature (remote start) that thousands of cars already had for many years and you can install an after-market one in just about every car currently being sold regardless of manufacturer"? They might've used the basic "bleep-bleep" sound and flashing headlights (when you lock/unlock the car) as well
I agree that the car commercials were boring... EXCEPT...

I liked the alien abduction.

I liked the new "Beetle."

I enjoyed the game, glad to see GB win over the Steelers who I generally like except for Ben.

Sad to see football (American for those outside the states :-) ) end for the season.

The 1/2 time show was a bit strange and the commercials were not as cool as previous years I thought.

Was toggling between work, watching super bowl and chelsea vs. liverpool match. Must've missed the VW ad...hilarious!

I'm sure many of you can relate, thought this was pretty good too:

IMO, BEP et al were a great representation of yesterday. So much great and overlooked new talent.

Being in Detroit, I am admittedly biased by this ad. I thought it was very well done
