i realize that but those same wireless carriers are the wireline carriers and they broke up the wireline for competitive market. If we are going to only have a choice of 2 wireless carriers then you can see prices go up as they have already done with the data plans by eliminating the unlimited.

This is going to be very interesting by summer. As I have mentioned before, my Sprint contract will be expiring in June. No telling what options I will have then, both greater and fewer.

It definitely seems like a great strategy for AT&T since it will be so easy to bridge networks like you guys stated. The extra coverage and customers are going to well for AT&T.

Interesting prediction about VZ acquiring Sprint. That might just happen. Sprint has been running on fumes (and their awesome "Anytime Any Mobile" plan feature) for some time now and to me, really ate crap when they hyped up the announcement of their idiotic Kyocera dual screen thing.

What the hell are they thinking? Anyway, I figured Sprint's days were numbered.

Hey now, if Verizon buys Sprint I'll be able to swap over MUCH easier/cheaper... just like when I switched from Nextel to Sprint a few years back after that buyout.

What's next? Google buys AT&T and Verizon? (one step closer to them changing their name to skynet)

Lets not forget Verizon's ties with Vodafone - world's biggest wireless provider. Vodafone has significant interest in VZ.

I was in London a few weeks ago and Vodafone had a major outage that affected almost all of London from central all the way out to Heathrow.

A few thieves drove a van into a Vodafone un-manned cell switching facility, and when I say into, I mean through the front door. And they stole all of the switching gear. Service was all screwed up for about 36 hours.

My only question about all of this is how does it benefit the customer? Did anyone see any information from AT&T as to how this is going to improve customer experience? That is to say; better coverage, better customer service, lower cost, anything?
