This is true. The guy at the top gets the glory but I think Stan's point was off the mark. Obama gets the credit as he is the Commander in Chief at the time the deed was done and indeed, he gave the okay to do it so with that, he gets the spotlight but to say that Bush dropped the ball is plain wrong. If one wants to talk about dropping the ball we need look no further than Billy Clinton.

Further, Obama can take credit for authorizing the operation but again, full credit goes to the operators who took Osama out. It's the same way I can take credit for my wife slaving for hours to make an elaborate dinner for 10 guests because I invited them.

I watched the speech and if i'm not mistaken Obama gave the credit to those who carried out the operation. I don't know who said Bush dropped the ball I certainly didn't. But E61silver is right about one thing it would be nice if people would stop the killing. It really is pointless.

I watched it too. It was all a bit surreal. I did think he should have prioritized the mention of the people who were doing the heavy lifting before he talked about all he did. Anyway, I'm referring back to the original post by Stan that vilifies Bush.

I too would like the killing to stop. Unfortunately there are too many people filled with hate and breeding more hate towards America, the West, and whatever religious group that is disagreed with. Those people will not stop killing.

It's all good. Nothing to do with Obama. I look forward to seeing him out, it will happen.
