Hmm.. What do you guys think is the best...
http://www.ecost.com/ecost/shop/detail.asp?dpno=611243 and well at first i was basically sold on that product becuase there wasnt realy anything else out there that could match it for that price until the new ipod 60gb video came out http://www.ecost.com/ecost/shop/detail.asp?dpno=633354 and now im kinda stuck. here the deal ok so im not realy going ot use the video part but i want the big size and the thought that what if i ever do want to use the video part then i would regrett it just like how i decided not to get the nav option now i regrett it. and after searchin for other high capacity players i found some and here they are http://www.ecost.com/ecost/shop/detail.asp?dpno=565523 http://www.ecost.com/ecost/shop/detail.asp?dpno=666410 http://www.ecost.com/ecost/shop/detail.asp?dpno=324357 http://www.ecost.com/ecost/shop/detail.asp?dpno=282912 now the other thing is that if i use my money for that then i can do the intake and the ractive tips that i was wanting to... http://www.autobarn.net/raunextip.html http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e53-forum/...intake-11.html and this is a tough decision.... Any inputs?? also consider that if i get an mp3 player then ill most likely get the aux input also. |

The only fault in the iPod is it's battery life, I'm not sure if they've improved on it yet, and its sound quality. I always hated the sound quality of the ipod. I'd strongly recommend getting something that has a line out option like my sony Mp3 player has for cars and such. iPod is always a nifty little thing to carry around, its small and everything, but the sound is what you're looking for best in a Mp3 player, and it isn't with the iPod. I think sony may have come out with some higher capacity players other than their 20gbs, I'd STRONGLY recommend those because its just great for aux. inputs, and they've got a line out sound option for when you're using larger speakers, or in your case, a car. Sure the headphones make a difference when it comes to Mp3 players, but you've got to have some decent sound settings within the thing too.

Sony players are OK, but I found most of them to have weak headphone drivers (definitely not up to par with Cowon in terms of sound quality). The same goes for Ipod...just OK. So...if you want to take the gamble on the iAudio X5, make sure to deal with a quality company that have a good return policy as ecost's reputation is very questionable. Do keep us posted on whatever you decide as I'm very much in the same boat as you are...looking for a 60GB or larger player. |

I think they might of just released a new mp3 player, check that out maybe. Only drawback about this Mp3 player is that it isn't scroll friendly. Its not as easy to use as most other Mp3 players, such as, there isn't a menu with a list of your songs, but instead, divides them into like Artists, Genres, New Tracks, Album and such. I moved away from the iPod to this just because of sound quality. My brother's got the aux. for his m3, and hes got the harmon kardon system and a fosgate sub, it sounds out of this world with my Mp3 player. |

iPod is king, man. (And, there is a reason for it.) Don't mess with anything else.
By the way, iPods no longer have any battery issues like the earlier ones did. You can hook it up to your home or car stereo, plays movies, TV shows and videos, does pictures, and of course, music. Juan

I have a a 30gb IAudio X5. If there's one reason to get it, it's the sound quality and the build quality. The sound from the oe earphones is fantastic. I can't imagine what it'd be like with some good ones. The case is all aluminum and just feels solid. Check out:
http://www.iaudiophile.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=28 It's a good place to find out more about it. |

I can say one of the main reasons people buy iPods is because of its looks, hell, thats what I bought it for, but it'd be a nice to have a iPod video to use in the car. My brother puts his in place of his speedometer cluster, and watches movies when hes coming down from Austin. You're always welcome to IM me or PM me if you have any questions. |

you just happened to get a lemon, i've got the iaudio x5L 60 as do 3 of my friends and it's rock solid. The build quality is fine. Also, under NO circumstances should you buy anything from ecost.com they, in a word, suck Check out their rating on www.resellerratings.com, they're scam artists.
