Happened on the lower level road to Horseshoe Bay in West Van. The couple who picked him up were on the news here. The funny part was recounted as follows: he said "that was Bono" as they drove past, she said "no way", he said "I'll prove it, just go back", and she said "No, we're going to get killed, we don't pick up hitchhikers!" He convinced her, but she still thought they were going to get mugged. She said that later none of their friends believed them, and then they got the shout out on stage, and that made the news too.
I still would have gone to Game 1, myself.
