Taking Mom Around Laguna Seca...

In a spin in a Z06...
pretty funny vid, though Mom's screaming commentary is hard to understand. About 4:30 in, she's having a breakdown, .

Hilarious!

Love that she screamed bloody murder the whole way around and at the end asked "did we beat everybody?".

Speaking of Laguna seca, is anybody else loathing the fact that they cannot be there this weekend for Moto GP??!

I'm nearly depressed...had so much fun last year.

Back to your experience, how did it feel hurtling down the corkscrew? I want to get on that rack so badly, but with the sound restrictions it's so difficult.

"We beat everybody"... Awesome. She was so scared, then so proud. I love it.

In 1986 my mom and dad picked up a 944 in Stuttgart. There was a 'drawing' among all the people there that day for a special ride with a race driver.

She won.

Since she didn't want to go "too fast" she decided to do the off-road dirt track and not the banked concrete track...bad choice.

Peed her pants. Dad loved repeating that story...

Good times MD

Mom's wails at 3:30 can only mean corkscrew. "Mother's" banners in background added to the amusement. Mom... Oh, you.

Gret vid David! damn... now it's time for a road trip out west but I don't know if I'd make it past Vegas. LS is on the bucket list, perhaps it should be on mom's as well.

edit: corkscrew again at 5:14.... 1 min 44 sec hot lap around LS isn't shabby if he's stock... yeah right mom, I'm going easy on it! hahaha

edit2: 11:58... "wait 'till you see the camera". "the WHAT." "the camera!" and she laughs it off.... cool mom!

I'm sure that driver enjoys telling the story about the American who peed her pants as much as your dad enjoys sharing his version.

Just to clear any confusion, that was a YT vid our son sent us...that was not me, or my late Mom.

However, on the 8 week/~13,000 mile cross country road trip we just returned from, Veronica, (who drove at least half of those miles),
made me look/feel like that Mom a few times when she was hammering the guardrail-less curves at 10,000 ft in the Mtns, in the VetteVert.

Just kidding, dear...
GL, mD

PS: great story, ard!

My mother does that every time I overtake on a two-lane country road.

"Why can't you just slow down and wait behind the car?!!"

I never answer, but the truth is I'm impatient and if there's a dashed-line on my side, I plan on using it if someone's driving slower than 50mph in a rural zone. Thank you NC DOT for using dashed lines on most roads.
