-AzNMPower: you may be a week late. It is peak or just post peak, here at elevations, and with the rain/wind for the next 24 hrs, it is fading like the last rose of summer. The lower elevations have not 'peaked', but they never will or do, imo. -Naz, you know where we are in winter season! -bmwbmwuser: yes, the gauge reads empty...it is one of the 4 glitches I have had in 9+ yrs/50k miles. The gas float and sensor are shot...very pricey to fix, so I live with a gauge that drops to E at about the half tank mark. The trip odo gets me down the road fine, as 500+ mile tanks are cake, and I've done 600 mile tanks. -haigha/P: Right On! ;>) -QwkAg: I heard/saw he was over in A'ville. Didn't know they could land that 747 at A'ville airport until I saw the pic. I didn't 'see' him; and I would have had to give him strokes, lol! -Ray: yeah...annual Autumn shot to NJ to see DaKidz, and migration in a few more weeks. V would like a Bentley Cabrio for the next long ride. JK... |

She's just getting broken in.
She was definitely the star of your 13,000 mile scoot across the continent.

I hope it works out!
I flew to Toronto a couple of weeks ago. Postponed an August trip so I could see the Stickmen/AB3. There's a couple of pictures of me & my friends on Tony's page here: 2 of a Perfect Trio - TOUR OF USA & CANADA We met Tony & Markus before the show at a cafe. Very nice guys! |

mD, I figured that the fuel gauge is not working. Just curious,
how much to get it fixed? Looks great for a 9+ year old car |

The parts are ~$500 last I checked, and it's 3+ hours of labor, plus a re-scan of some kind. So, pushing a fooking grand, and a DIY on a gas tank ain't in my wheelhouse...the downside is the new part may last years or just a year or so, from pages of threads on this issue. So, I just let it be like it is, for the past several years. We made out fine on our 13k mile trip, and I only ran out of gas once. ![]() Thanks for the kind words. GL, mD |

Nice job MD! I'm ~ 30k away from 50k in my '08, I hope mine looks as good as yours when I get there.
