soccerjunky - That's an awesome setup. And I mean "AWESOME".
You guys have some of the nicest setups I've seen. They put what we have in our family room to shame.

Back to the Clean Power Chase...an interesting thread, with many opposing views, from the AVS Forum, pasted below. I realize reading the arm wrestles they have on that forum will make your hair hurt and offers ammo for all sides, eg "yeah, I have that and agree" or "I don't have that and agree..."!

I'm sorta in the camp of a $400 or, a lot more, "transformer/cleaner" is prob. not necesary for my minmalist set up here, or on the Mtn, where 99.9% of my "listening/viewing" is casual and not really critical. Nor do I have the hearing capabilities of my cats.

Not intended to start an argument; there are plenty to be read in that AVS thread. Jes' thought it interesting.

It'd just be too much work to do it, each of those speakers is wall mounted, so if we were to move one up a bit, you'd just have I think like 2 holes for nothing. Plus, each of those speakers is atleast 30Lbs.

I would tend to agree with you. If your local power is fairly stable you would probably be fine with a surge/conditioner from Monster Power, Panamax, etc. That would put you in the $200-$350 range and still give you coax, phone, and LAN protection on top of clean AC power to your TV, DVD, and receiver. In the end, I think the point is to have the power device fail when a big surge hits, instead of our expensive AV gear. Spending thousands on power devices seems to have diminishing returns IMO.
