Moving

Hi guy's, I am getting ready to move from Florida to Fort riley Kansas, and was wondering if anyone was familiar with the area. I have a 2006 4.8is and was a little worried about finding a good mechanics out there. Will be missing florida getting back to the grind.

No advice but good luck with the move. Florida to Kansas sounds like a big change.

lion,
Here's a forum that some may not be aware of: City Data.
City-Data.com Forum: Relocation, Moving, Local City Discussions

The 'Kansas' forum is a bit thin, as are the threads I pulled up using 'Fort Riley', but maybe worth a read for info on area.

I would GOOG Fort Riley area for 'BMW Mechanic'...I bet there is at least one in Topeka, the Capitol, about an hour east.
Nice country, as I've ridden through there several times on CC m'cycle trips. I like 'Eastern KS". Good luck, and keep your damn head down!

Google maps does not show BMW mechanics in that area.

How about checking the local phone book....those relic thick books that people used to refer to before google/bing/yahoo!, etc.

Good luck!

Phone books are still good for backwoods ballistic testing.

You should hook up with the local BMWCCA chapter. They can most certainly give you some good independent BMW tech recommendations.
