Nice choices, Mickey. We just renovated our kitchen at the beginning of January (lasted 5-6 weeks), so I feel your pain. We have similar tastes-very similar wall color, tile backsplash (diff tile, of course), custom natural cherry cabinets/granite (lighter) countertops and stainless Jenn-Air appliances, wood floors.

I just got my 2 latest home mods-hi velocity central air retrofit and a mosquito magnet for the yard (to fend off the maine state bird :p .)

Your kitchen looks great! Enjoy!

Thanks everyone + some answers

someone asked what kind of flooring was done. Just regular hardwood Bruce 3/4" Kendale Strips.

Here are some of the older (before) pics. Believe it or not the applainced were about 40 years old. The double oven had a sticker date of 15th march, 1960 on the rear. The appliances worked as if they were new.

The significant other has a good eye re: designing. Have asked her many times to quit her job and start this as a business. perhaps some day...

Great mod to your kitchen Mickey! I like the tiles and the effect with under cabinet lights.

Wow, what a transformation. I love that rich, dark wood which contrasts beautifully with the stainless steel appliances.

I hope you don't mind me using it as a model for my future kitchen reno. And btw, your photographs are absolutely amazing.

I think I'm going to puke because it is so gorgeous. I want your kitchen. I'm going to come over and take it apart piece by piece and carry it home. That is one damn fine kitchen.

Looks fantastic Mickey.
I'd get rid of that white garbage can though.
