I don't pretend to know. But I would expect a supplier who's selling a product to tout their product as better than the others. And it may be. I have never used it.

i do believe all the gas in the USA is pumped through the same pipes to the different post-processing plants where the only difference is the additives they put in (ie: cleaners, ethynol for winter, etc)...

so you really are only paying for the difference in additives... i remember a post from a exxon engineer and a texaco engineer stating the same thing before...

I try to alternate between two gas stations but same company. That way I can easily check my credit card recipets to see if anyone is double charging or whatever.

I use exclusively one gas company since I have their gas card. But be warned there're lots of frauds going on at gas stations. Some crooks recently stole my brand new card in the mail and racked up $1500 worth of gas and repairs in a couple weeks span.

Do you find any benefits in having a gas card or not?

The reason is it's easy just to give my accountant the twelve statements at year's end so I don't have to go through a bunch of individual gas receipts.
