My adultKidz and their fams have one; I have just not gotten around to it.

Guess I'm the fourth iPOD-LESS member. I usually just burn my fav songs on a CD at 320kbps and play them. I have not even tried an iPod but I got on iTunes website and tried out their free 'download of the week' thing but have not been satisfied with the quality of the files. They are 128kbps files in Apples proprietary AAC format and they just don't seem to measure up.

I will probably look at the Creative ZEN if I go to a player. I have heard they sound better.

I didn't have an iPod until the Dension IceLink Plus came out. It was the trigger point for me, and I love it. 99% of my songs are in MP3 format ripped at 192kbps, so I think the quality is pretty good.

Thank you guys for all your prompt and informative responses. I was sure I was going to ignite some strong discussion with that subject. So far I have tested the Ipod Video (very nice for the price), the Samsung YH999GS (which I did not like the sound at all) and the Archos AV500 (which has a deeper sound than the iPod but also comes with a much higher price). Another PMP which looks very promising on paper is the Cowon IAudio A2. Unfortunatly there is no shop here where I can test it.
