I hope everyone is okay. Sorry to hear about that Joe....Now here is your chance to order another one as a 4.8is....but keep the carbon black!

To look at it on the surface you would think it might be repairable, but there was severe damage to the rear subframe and the rear floor would have had to be replaced. That was just the rear. The impact was hard enough to push the right side exhaust forward and crack the cylinder head causing other internal damage to the engine. This seemed to be enough for the adjuster to conclude as well as all the body work that needed to be done that it was a total loss.
There aren't any of the same Carbon Black 4.4 Sport/Premium w/ Nav. so I will probably order one for her.

Sorry to hear that, Joe. Glad to hear no one got hurt, which is obviously the most important aspect of this. Hard as it may be to replace your X, it CAN be replaced.

Good luck, and keep us posted.

Juan

Sorry about your accident. Damage does not look too bad. How much did the adjuster estimate to fix it? Glad everyone is ok, time to look for the next one.

Sorry about the news Joe. With a little patience, you'll find the perfect replacement.

The damage does look fairly minimal on first glance but then when you see how far the impact pushed through, all the way to the front fender, you realize that there is alot going on under the skin.

I'm sensing that you if you run your VIN later on that it will come up with a salvage title, or at least I hope it does.

Sorry about the news Joe. It looks like mine.( Not wreaked though) And today I avoided an accident as well. It seems more and more that drivers don't care how they drive. I hope you get something you will enjoy.
