I worked for EMI/Capital/Virgin Records for 5 years in the 90's, and between that job and my father having one of the most extensive jazz collections I've ever seen, my music tastes run the gamut from Miles Davis to some really embarrassing pop artists, with a whole lot of classic rock in the middle. Over the summer I ripped my entire CD collection to disk including most of my father's jazz CD's and wound up with about 90GB of music. I dropped almost all of the "greatest hits" albums to a 60GB IAudio X5 and have about 20GB free for pictures and data etc.

Lately I've been listening to Chuck Mangione, Supertramp, some Billy Joel, Bruce, Peter Gabriel, and The Stones (40 licks always seems to be on when I'm drving the vette ) It all depends on what kind of mood I'm in ....

Up to about 95GB on Itunes. Thanks to that external hard drive...
Love Iron & Wine.... Got thier colaberation with Calexico. Like Sun Kil Moon too - was a fan or Red House Painters... just got the Sun Kil Moon where they cover all the Modest Mouse songs... good album. Indie is great stuff. Left of Center on Sirius has a lot of good indie stuff.

Another great Indie band is Built to Spill.

Not into country either, but thru the Jam Band scene you see a lot of Bluegrass - Yonder Mountain String Band, Hackensaw Boys, even stuff like early Dead and Rolling Stones can be considered country.

Scary, but I got those albums a few weeks ago. The IW/Calexico disc is sweet. Sun Kil Moon is amazing, thier 1st was good too. Really cool how odd Modest Mouse songs can sound so different acoustic and to great music.

LOC is my favorite of Sirius channels...I'll check into Built to Spill, I'm sure I've heard them
