It's reasonable to assume he meant the Macbook equivalent of an Ultrabook, which is the MB Air, not the MB Pro. The MB Pro isn't even in the same ballpark for size and price as Ultrabooks. So as much as the fanboys want to sidetrack the thread to be about the MB Pro it's irrelevant to what he is looking for and is in no way helpful.

I went for a Asus Eee PC Seashell series netbook, 12.1" screen, not so much Ultra but is great to throw in a brief case or a bag, plenty of battery life. Has a led backlit screen, wireless, quick boot, camera, sound etc.

Do a little BMW coding on the X5, plays DVD's etc, cheap, if it gets damaged just buy another one, at $379.

I have a good 15" laptop and now seldom use it, wasted all that money, could buy a cheap netbook every year for 4 years which would give me the current model and still have saved money!

Considering Asus TaiChi or Acer S7. None of them are released yet. S7 is supposed to be released by end of this month and TaiChi release says 4th quarter, so don't know if I can wait that long.
