Arrow Ultrabook Recommendations?

In the market for an Ultrabook and looking for some recommendations.
Open to MacBook recommendations as well, although never used a Mac before. At least a 13-inch screen.

Spent a huge amount of time researching and using the pre-Ultrabooks (like Samsung Series 9) and then the first Ultrabooks late last year. Eventually returned all those and bought the light, small, powerful, expandable, reliable IBM ThinkPad X220 instead. That being said, I use my iPad 3 more than the ThinkPad now though (for personal and travel use)...

An excellent site to look at is Ultrabook News. Check out the Home, Ultrabook Comparison, Ultrabook Reviews tabs.

Samsung has great products and IBM (and others) are coming out with new models that will work even better with Windows 8.

MacBooks, although not my device of choice, are excellent in this market. I found that I could not get into the Mac OS and that running Windows on a Mac is a poor option (if you are primarily a Windows app person).

I just bought an HP ENVY, I'm very happy with it.

That's an expensive ultrabook. You can get 2 HP's for the price of the carbon. Which is odd for me to say because I'm a big Lenovo fan.

If you're open to MacBook recommendations my suggestion would be to go to
an Apple store and look around. One plus on a Mac is you can run more than
one version of Windows on the same machine. More expensive? Yes but
there are other pluses as well. I've had my 15 inch Mac for 5 years and it's
still rolling.

Thanks.
I stopped by at the Apple store and checked out. The 13-inch Air with 512 SSD is $2200 and so is the 15-inch Pro with retina display. I can get 2 non-Apple ultrabooks for that price with 1080p res.

Did a comparison as below at Ultrabooknews(Thanks Brian)
Any one use Asus or Acer? I have only used Lenovo, Dell and HP brands in past. Asus Zenbook looks good.
Screen real estate is important to me.

LeMansX5,

I spent a lot of time on Notebook Review forum when I was trying to resolve WiFi issues on Samsung Series 9.

Suggest checking out the Asus and Acer sections there. I think the Asus has been modeled on the MacBook Air (which I suppose is a good thing).
