What's wrong with Automobile magazine?
When the subscription comes up, I won't be renewing. It started two issues ago when they confused design with style (and this is from a magazine that has Robert Cumberford on staff?), then last month they did a report on the Miata: except it was a patched up narrative and photos from Mazda - they never drove the car. In the current issue they test 8 luxury cars but never bother to rank them. All you get is short happy copy about each one of the cars. Car and Driver and Road and Track may be scolded for their rankings in multiple car tests, but at least they go out on a limb and rank them worst to best. Automobile magazine won't even do that. The magazine has become an issue best found behind a commercial airplane seat. The magazine is more interested in striking a pose.

Issue is not with the magazine but with the readers. They all SUCK. So grow up!

That's a littls harsh, isn't it Mickey?
I've never been impressed with Automobile magazine. I have been a Car and Driver subscriber for some 15 years now and a reader for longer thatn that. I will occasionally read a Motor Trend or Road and Track and even Automobile; having said that, I just don't think any of them is on the same level as C&D. Juan

Ouch, some smack down going on
![]() You got to take magazines for what they are, bulk loads of information. That's it. It may be just me but I don't really care how a magazine, other then Consumer Reports, ranks anything. You can go test drive most of the vehicles they test if you would really like a comparison. However I will agree that it is kinda queer that they don't post any straight forward opinion.
