That's a prime example of whats wrong with modern vehicle design. Who in their right mind stood back after the final design meeting and said "boys, we've got'r"...LOL

So they took the center hood section from a Jeep TJ, wheels from something like a Lincoln MKX/Ford Edge, tail pipes from a Suzuki Kizashi, tailgate from a Kia (whatever their suv is called) or Ford Escape, knocked off tails from a Q5 before puking it all onto a page outlined in some chrome highlights and calling it a cherokee...Im sure the blind won't mind one, but don't count on any non-visually impaired person to buy one cause that thing is straight up atrocious. /End Rant

You're comparing 2 different market segments--the Cherokee is their compact SUV--X5 is mid-size so it's comparison should be done with the Grand Cherokee. The new Cherokee is pretty small---it should be compared to the X1 almost.

I really don't think its fair to compare an x5 to this cherokee. Start by comparing the cherokee to an x3. Secondly the 2014 Grand Cherokee is a beautiful car. I would say it is far better looking that the f15.

That said I hated the new cherokee look at first. However I drive past the factory that builds these and the wrangler everyday on my way to work so I see them everyday and by the hundreds. They are actually starting to grow on me. By comparing it to the x5 your picturing this thing to be way bigger than it is. It is a small vehicle and in person they don't look bad. That said they are actually surprisingly well equipped as an offroad vehicle especially for being a crossover. 9 speed transmission and they get great gas mileage.

wasn't compering the two as one vs the other, was just simply saying how the F15 has been criticized for its design, But then you have monstrosities like this one come out and well...F15 seems gorgeous

The ZF factory that builds the 9-speed automatic for the Cherokee is built in the Upstate as well.

Looks like that. Nothing but one BIG bug inside to be worked out.

I've seen a few new Jeeps on the road with burnt out/shorted headlights, foglights and taillights.
