The Ol'X5, Looking Decent...
It's been hectic and busy, (as busy as one can get being a Retired Bum), in making the move from our Naples, FL Winter Shack to our Nokomis, FL New Winter Shack. Spending money on the new FL Shack like we fookin print it, but the CEO is happy so we are all happy. ![]() The ol'bomb is running pretty well, but I hope to get a few things looked at by a local indie while I have it with us down here in SW FL, and before we migrate north back to our Mtn home. Thanks for looking! GL, mD ![]() ![]()

She still looks amazing, mD. Like the color of your new abode. Looks like you've got a lot of grass to cut... if you're using dull scissors

The X5 looks to be in showroom condition still. I hope you and V are settling into the new winter home and beating the local course into submission.

E, Thanks!
Phil: Thanks, and the typically overpriced landscape gang does the cutting. The usual builders' grade crap plantings will get added to/expanded over time. Not a grass fan, other than on the course. As for color, the builder offered the usual 6 choices of 5 shades of beige/tan and this 'terra cotta' pumpkin color, so we picked that... Ray, Thanks! New track is longer, wider, but has diabolical greens. Both V & my HDCP have bumped up, the wrong way. V is still the player in the house. ![]() We are spending the kids' inheritance. BR, D |

Looks great. My favorite color (as you can tell by my user name).
Clean/condition wheelwells and you could park it on a showroom floor.

Spend the kids inhertitance mD, you can't take it with you!
new winter shack looks awesome (can the wife and I take a vacation down there with you guys? lol!), and your X looks cleaner than ever, amazing how she ages so well! What do you need to get looked at by the indy? Hope its just minor things, in your 13 yrs of ownership you definitely win the award for "least complaints about my X" on this forum! Testament to your good ownership ability in my opinion!

JCL, Thanks my friend...
TiAgX5: Thanks for the props, but up close she is slightly showing her age. I shoot 'softly' and play with the shadows/mid tones and highlights to soften a few wrinkles. RB: Thanks...new FL Winter Shack is a money pit, like any new house these days. The Kidz will get what they get. ![]() In line for brake pads/rotors, coolant sys components, thrust arm bushings, new batt, et al. At just under 94k miles, I would rather be proactive vs the alt. This new HOA frowns on 'car repairs' in driveway/garage, and I don't have my full set of tools here at this FL Winter Joint, so I may find a good local SW FL Indie. BR, mD

That really looks cool. You wont need that to be repainted. There are a lot of things that individuals take for granted and some of the most innocent things take a ton of work. Car paint, for example, has to undergo a ton of testing before it can get put on a car. Car paint screening involves exposing tones of paint to years of brutal climate conditions to see if it can stand up. You need to make sure that you opt for services offered by a trusted company which has a good reputation in the market.
