Ricky Bobby will become famous soon enough
^^I agree- However, be glad your state actually recognizes the 2A - as you may have heard in my diatribes about NJ, we have a tiny fraction of something that resembles a 2A, and an absolute LOL at the thought of a CCW in this state -

Our house is closing in 2 weeks or so, and then the exodus begins to freedom....

Yea it's pretty hard to get a CCW anywhere in the northeast corridor. Safe travels on the move!

Stop by VA and we can go shooting at the NRA Not too far off I95 south

Try the wait for an NFA item. I'm on month 3 of my ~10 month wait.

I got tired of waiting for Sig to release the P320 RX in 45 acp.

Ordered the Walther PPQ 45 today.

Picked the PPQ up yesterday.

Ordered the Trijicon night sites, 5 pc (3 spring) recoil reduction system (was intending to get the SSGuiderods and 20 lb Wilson Combat spring setup until I shot a PPQ 45 with the recoil reduction system).

Now the question.....holsters?

Looked at the Safariland 578 (this is designed for a larger gun and requires a shim (supplied) to be installed to make it work with the 45 PPQ). Not for me.

Anyone use these?....

Never used a Stealthgear and the vented concept is interesting. Especially for you being in TX. But, $110 for a fabric and kydex holster? Seems steep!

I use a Crossbreed Supertuck and love it. I just tuck a tank top or undershirt between it and my waist and it's very comfortable.

Thanks edogg.

I would go with the Crossbreed if they produced a tuck holster without a leather to gun contact.

I'm a firm believer in PH neutral/zero moisture surfaces contacting the holstered firearm.

Gotta love finding free money.....

http://www.waltherarms.com/wp-conten...ebate-Form.pdf

Came across a $100 rebate on the PPQ M2 45.

Kind of glad I waited all this time for the Sig P320 RX in 45 that was NEVER released.

Found a holster I am going to try, Vetter IWB tuck-able. Infinite adjustable 30 deg adjustable cant (FBI standard). Solid/adjustable "snap-in" retention.

Ordered the SS Guide Rods unit with the captured spring too. Yet to hear of any FTFs from ANY long term/high round/mult-shooter tests (even shooting 185 gr and intentional limp-wristing). This tells me the PPQ 45 is screaming for more recoil spring. Will order the Wilson Combat 20 lb spring next.

Well I received a temporary CCW as my county continues to take forever in processing my paperwork. The temp permit is a bit of a joke because it literally is a piece of paper signed by the county commissioner. In other news I need to sell my 226 before purchasing the 320 I would like for carrying purposes.

Loading up the Benz for a road trip back to FL (2 week rental of a beach house in Destin), bringing the P227 & PPQ 45, along with 500rds of Sig Elite Perf 230gr Match Grade FMJ. I have a friend in Destin who's a member of Oak Ridge Shooting Sports.

Vedder holster in the 4 o'clock position and canted for natural draw has less printing them the Sig 227 it replaced, carries better too. 10:30 position, canted for natural cross-draw is do-able too (slight printing of slide/front on upper/outer thigh. Could never pull off the 227 in that position). The PPQs rounded/melted shape makes the difference, yet it's still a full size Service Duty firearm, point better, fits the hand MUCH better, the trigger makes the Sig fire control system feel un-developed, and I shoot it better. Win/Win.

Did I mention the trigger???

Installed the SS guide rod and 20lb Wilson Combat spring, no worries of failure to feed with this heavy spring, limp wristers won't be able to cycle the slide and chamber a round. I like my semi-autos to drop spent cases around 2 to 4 ft away, and farther and the gun is hitting the slide limit stop too hard IMHO. Just need to keep them cleaned/lubed to prevent FTFs.

Did I mention the trigger???

The Desert Eagle in 50AE I shot last year had a lighter slide cycle.

Did I mention the trigger???

Notice to ALL striker fire manufactures, THIS IS WHAT AN AWESOME TRIGGER FEELS LIKE, LEARN IT, KNOW IT, LIVE IT, PRODUCE IT!

Glock, Perfection??? My ASS!!!
