What would happen if no one voted?

I know, completely far fetched and would never in a million years happen. But hypothetically, what would happen if no body in America voted because they were unhappy with the candidates offered by both parties? Hard to imagine, but seriously, how would something like that be dealt with?

Majority Leader of the House would probably become President.

I would love to see a box that offered a choice of

Can you imagine the chaos that would ensue if everyone checked that box?

But to answer you good question,

If no one voted then i would guess that people would
have collectivly concluded that the necessity of doing
so was no longer needed.

It propounds another question. What line of thought
would make people collectivly conclude it was no longer
necessary to vote?

Could that conclusion be based on another
system of governing that could be put in place
that people would finds more effective,
more responsive, and much less susceptible
to the imperfection of people?

Hmmmmmmm........

My "None of the Above" tongue in cheek was
my toss at the political system which does not
allow for many of quality/not long time politicos,
to get into the process of running for office.

In a pop. of a Third of a Billion, it's amazing to me
that we have whom we have, on the ballot.

If I wanted to run for dog catcher here in our county,
I would not stand a chance as I'm not "part of" or a
"kindred spirit" to either of the local machines.

I would bet it is like that across the USA...thus, we have
in office, who we have.
