No, you probably wouldn't like to see that... I am, however, in a position that requires me to be flexible, think on my feet, offer solutions and leave the people I deal with happy and satisfied. Before taking the job, I did a lot of internal speculation as to whether it is a reality for me or not. The Co. I work for considered it a priority as well.

Here is the crux:
Should not our VP be quick witted, and able to control a situation with their knowledge and intellectual view point on the subjects at hand? It appeared to me, that she was not in control of her information and struggled at times. (This is to be expected, and these situations can be handled positively) The overall impression she left with me was one of concern and not confidence.

The reality is, she is in a position to be scrutinized. Being prepared (mentally and factually) as well as having the awareness to handle it should be a prerequisite. Does that not relate to IQ? Or does it relate simply to social skills and experience?

It is scary to compare the performance of Clinton, Nixon and Kissinger to that of Palin.

On the Trooper. I was listening to this being discussed on the local NPR station and pretty much to it for fact. I will look into it further.

What do you mean by "how low Democrats reach?" Its not only Democrats raising the question. Some Republican conservatives are beginning to question the pick...again.

Not bad Chef...This was a cogent argument. Just a reminder though. Palin is the VP on the ticket as Gresch has pointed out many times. I'm afraid the McCain campaign is making some mistakes in how they handle Palin which is making matters tougher on her if that is possible.

I enjoyed it; In fact I enjoyed it so much i decided the cut and paste the important part for all to see and read.......

Palin has given no indication yet that she is capable of handling the monumental responsibilities of the presidency if she were called upon to do so.

In fact, the opposite is the case. We know that there are some parts of Alaska from which, if the day is clear and your eyesight is good, you can actually see Russia. But the infantile repetition of this bit of trivia as some kind of foreign policy bona fide for a vice presidential candidate should give us pause.

The McCain campaign has done its bizarre best to shield Ms. Palin from any sustained media examination of her readiness for the highest offices in the land, and no wonder. She has been an embarrassment in interviews.

But the idea that the voters of the United States might install someone in the vice president’s office who is too unprepared or too intellectually insecure to appear on, say, “Meet the Press” or “Face the Nation” is mind-boggling.

The alarm bells should be clanging and warning lights flashing. You wouldn’t put an unqualified pilot in the cockpit of a jetliner. The potential for catastrophe is far, far greater with an unqualified president.

OK...Let's run with that premise that it is essential that a person have foreign policy experience to be President.

McCain has a TON of foreign policy experience and he is running for President.

Palin has ZERO experience and she is running for Vice President.

Obama running for President has about 140 something days of on the job training out of which some of those days dealt with foreign policy so I suspect he has about 100 hours or so experience though I doubt that much.

Biden has a TON of foreign policy experience and he is on the VP ticket.

So...Elect Obama for President now who basically is a newbie when it comes to foreign policy or elect McCain who has a ton of foreign policy experience.

If foreign policy is important to you as a criteria for President you should vote for McCain. Then if McCain lives for about 3 months Palin should have Obama's 100 hours of experience wrapped up.

Sad indeed folks.
