I was really referring to the two mainstream candidates that are running, Obama and McCain. I would bet that the vast majority of people don't realize there are other choices. In all honestly, I forgot all about McKinney until you said something and I actually half way pay attention to this stuff. So if it were Mckinney getting all the publicity instead of Obama the same thing would be happening and she would be getting a lot of votes based on race as well. I would actually go as far to say that the same popele voting for Obama based on color, especially the ones that think he is pro-life and that Palin is his running mate, don't know McKinney is even an option.

Being of mixed heritage is more than just skin color. You cannot look at a person and tell whether they are mixed. Was Thurgood Marshall? No. Was Cab Calloway? No. Is Colin Powell? No. How about Harold Ford, Jr? No. (I tried to think of the fairest skinned black folks to prove this point) But you know who is? Slash from Guns and Roses. There are plenty of fairer skinned blacks than Obama that are not of mixed heritage. Granted, there are hardly any African American decendant of slaves that are without some mixed heritage in their ancestry, not even the darkest of us.

I knew about Slash. One the best guitarists ever, IMO.

Sure, there are some intraracial issues among blacks, but it has nothing to do with not accepting mixed people.

I thought it was kinda funny that Barack was advertising in video games. His campaign is just ahead of the game!
I actually think the video game thing was a great idea too, but I do agree with Wagner that it shows that he is trying to get elected "American Idol" style. It seems to be more of a popularity thing than a policy thing.

You've got to be where the voters are.
