What did Bush do/not do? I thought the President was the Commander in Chief, signed bills to make them into laws, etc... I didn't think a President could provide oversight of banking institutions or make laws/regulations regarding how lending should be done..
 Please, tell me how this was 8 years of failed Bush policy?Quote:

There are a couple of "investment banker" parents on my son's soccer team. On the weekend, they were unanimous in their agreement that Obama would be bad for the economy. Unfortunately, I was paying too much attention to the game to catch all the reasoning but they were pretty adamant about that. Caveat is that my town is mostly Republican but isn't that the way politics works? There are always caveats...
