Obama's birth certificate vs. someone born around the same time.

Where's the rest of the info?

His almost looks as though it was done with a word processor. That would be quite a trick in 1961.

I can't believe that some of you are recycling the nonsense about whether he is eligible to run or not. Reputable sources have debunked all of that nonsense. You just need to get off of some of your current news sources (no names here).

More importantly, I started reading this thread from the top and was interested in what the full context was for Obama's comments. That was driven simply by my own intellectual curiousity. I found it here:

http://apps.wbez.org/blog/?p=372.

It isn't the same link Quick provided, it is the original radio interview and not the recent repost by the radio station to save people looking. Good find Quick. But the nonsense related to Kenyan citizenship took this thread off track. That misdirection was at best unfortunate. Let's leave aside the alternatives.

If you listen to the interview, and I recommend that you do, you will see how much editing was done to produce the first clip in this thread. The context of the phrasing 'imperfect constitution' with deep flaws refers to flaws in society, and more specifically the cultural makeup of the men who wrote the constitution, not the document itself. Lots of audio editing involved. LIsten to the whole interview. Realize that he is talking about slavery. The historical document was described as imperfect, yes. Isn't that why there are ammendments? The cultural makeup specifically refers to the thinking of the authors, the acceptance of slavery, and the impact on society. It was a thoughtful interview, and showed the thinking style of Obama.

Now, there are two alternatives for the original posting of this thread. Either it was malicious, in which case an apology is in order for providing misleading and slanderous links from partisan sources, or it was born out of ignorance. Not sure that last one is a defence, but let's allow it here. It is what some elements of the campaign have sunk to.

I agree with Quick's comments that the mindless recycling is sometimes fun to watch. Other times it is embarrassing for society as a whole.

Go ahead and call this Kool-aid if you like. But if this is Kool-aid, I would like you to share some of what some others are drinking.

Only question, why was Obama originally saying "No, I'm only a US citizen" followed by "..Oh well I had dual citizenship" Kind of like, "Oh I barely new Ayers, Oh wait..yeah I really knew him" or "Rev. Write? Huh, barely heard him talk, Oh I was there for 20 years".....back pedal

Wagner: Canadians can't rant? I know we have this reputation as extremely polite and nice and all, but sometimes the implicit support of slavery gets to me. Actually, all of the time. OK, maybe it was just ignorance in the original post. Also, why are you redirecting again? The radio interview in question is about slavery and the constitution. If you insist, you can go read all about his citizenship (solely US) in the links provided. Independent fact checking sites. Sorry, no edited You-Tube videos. It is still redirecting though.

Quick: You weren't specific about what you were agreeing with.
