Forget Obama, He is a guy with a pen, the Congress makes this crap up. We need a complete cycling of the congress. Makes no difference who we send to replace then. Americans need to get some new blood in there and remove some of the long time congress-people that have been festering scabs on our system.

Better yet this piece of garbage which was rammed down our throat under the cry of urgency, before any member or as promised the American people could get at a look at the package was voted on and passed Friday night.

Meanwhile Obama who a day earlier decried panic and doom if this did not get a vote last week is taking the three day holiday and was spotted at the trendy Chicago restraunt Table Fifty-Two in Chicago with his wife living it up.

He won't be able to sign the bill until Tuesday after the holiday. Those of you who were Obama supporters with so much hope for change were duped. He and the Democratic Congress pushed this through during the night breaking a promise to give the people 48 hours to see the content...Why?

We deserve what we get in terms of our government. Worse yet I live in California which is being sucked into an abyss of government waste and spending.

Do you really like Obama so much that you would overlook his involvement?

No, we don't. But, we can partially blame the always diligent MSM for engaging in their excellent "investigative" reporting that they are so famous for.

And for a man that rode the change train in to DC, he sure seems to talk a lot of gloom and doom to speed through passage of a politically motivated spending bill that is a liberal wish list of government programs.

So many great quotes from Ronald Reagan explain the situation so well.
http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Ronald_Reagan

Quote:
In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.
Quote:
Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
Quote:
The ten most dangerous words in the English language are "Hi, I'm from the government, and I'm here to help."
Quote:
"We the people" tell the government what to do, it doesn't tell us. "We the people" are the driver, the government is the car. And we decide where it should go, and by what route, and how fast. Almost all the world's constitutions are documents in which governments tell the people what their privileges are. Our Constitution is a document in which "We the people" tell the government what it is allowed to do. "We the people" are free.
Something Obama should learn:
Quote:
Whatever else history may say about me when I’m gone, I hope it will record that I appealed to your best hopes, not your worst fears; to your confidence rather than your doubts.

All that from the President that presided over the largest increase in government spending in our nation's history. What a hypocrite.

When Reagan took office our national debt was less than $1 trillion, and when he left office it was over $3 trillion.

better than nothing. i dont care about the political crap. stop blaming. we voted for a reason. doesn't matter which side you chose, we are all on the same side, the sinking side of the boat. stop crying. it may seem the bill is just a band-aid to the bigger wound, but hey, there is no band-aid the wound might just get bigger and bigger. make them grandkids pay. we will be dead anyway.

This is the apathy that will run this country into a third nation in no time quick. In less than 12 months, when the Obamabucks run out, what will happen? A quick fix, partsan stimulus bill filled with politico favors, and run right over the American public reeks of political fixing and ultimately flies in the face of "transparency" and "openess". Regardless of political allegiance, you HAVE to care. Our future may be vastly different in 12 months - that paycheck or retirement check you get may not be there or may be so heavily taxed you don't even recognize it. I am very fortunate to be in the financial situation I am and believe me, I appreciate it every day. But where will we be a year from now? Reagan was Right.
