To be honest, I rarely viewed anything in the political section. It grew incredibly tiresome. Most of us will not be swayed by the rants of "the other side", regardless. So, what's the point? Just to vent and get even more irritated by the opposite venting of another?

I think the word is capitulation, as in we have nearly all
given up on gov't doing the right, smart thing(s), in an orderly and logical fashion, for the betterment of we citizens and taxpayers.

Whether it's dead or not, it needs to be moved out of being a sub-forum of the lounge so that the last post in politics doesn't step on the last post in the lounge when looking at the forum home page.
