And say what ya want about Palin, but she was a business owner and became a governor of a state, I don't think any one posting here can claim the latter credential.

IMO, McCain/Palin were lambs to the alter. The Reps knew after 8 years of Bush there was no chance they'd win so why not run a female for VP and roll your old war hero onto the playing field? Makes sense. You wouldn't want to sacrifice a Romney or someone who would really have a shot in 2012.
This is one of the lamest conspiracy excuses for why the Repubs lost the elections in '08. First of all, were women really going to buy this "I'm a woman, and you're a woman, so you should vote for me as VP" argument? Seriously, please!! Hillary vs. Palin - how can you even compare the two other than that they are both women. Palin can't even tie her own shoes:

You're very confused or simply completely 100% anti-republican no matter what Chile1. There was no comparison, or conspiracy and the fact that you'd list "being first lady" as an accomplishment & call Hillary a "people's champion", says volumes.

I guess the problem both Republicans and Democrats have is that they don't know what the hell just happened. It did come out of left field on a Friday before the Fourth of July. You know what is said of stories that break on a Friday... someone is trying to bury a story. If she wants to further her political career, just say so. Why the cloak of mystery?

Sarah Palin:

"I said before ... 'You know, politically speaking, if I die, I die. So be it,'" she said.
Speaking in fishing waders from the town of Dillingham, Palin said her administration has been paralyzed by fending off frivolous lawsuits.

"I'm not going to take the comfortable path. I'm going to take the right path for the state," she said of her resignation, which she characterized as a matter of progressing in an unconventional way."

"That caught people off guard. ... It's out of the box and unconventional. That's what we are as Alaskans and certainly how I am as a public servant."

That so-called "comparison" is laughable.

A former lawyer is somehow supposed to be a good thing?
Pro life is bad? Let's break that one down. Life, I think we can all agree is a good thing. And being Pro to that is a good thing.
Shoots the truth and a people's champion? LOL. That's the most funny thing I've ever heard. Who convinced you of that, George Soros?

Laughable? Not as comical as the strategy of thinking that just because Palin wears a skirt she would somehow, take away all of the Hillary votes!! Like women only supported Hillary because she was female..... Just goes to show how out of touch with reality these Republican really are.

No quote, just making a point on what's more comical (the Hillary/Palin comparisons chart or the Republican strategy).
