Isn't that the essence of democracy? The elected officials carry out the will of the people. It is not democracy if they get to Washington and decide for themselves what we want. "They elected me to do the thinking for them" doesn't work in this day of high speed communications.

We must push to change the way the world works. Not by force, by ideas.

First step: When we begin the draw down of troops in Iraq, deploy them and all the equipment to the Mexican border. The desert conditions would seem almost normal to a lot of them!

A recent poll says a huge majority of Americans say to secure the border first, then we can start talking about immigration reform.

My suggestion as a last act as we pull out of Afganistan would be to napalm all the poppy fields (yeah,yeah, I know some politicians decided we can no long use napalm. And before you get on your moral high horse, those poppy plants have killed alot more than napalm) Hell, let's just use satellite imagining and B2s and take out ALL the poppy fields around the world. If the FDA can declare CO2 has hazardous (I wonder when they are going to tax/fine us for CO2 polution???), getting rid of cocaine ought to have a higher priority!?! Ya think!

As far as McCrystal goes, most (all?) of those comments were made by staff. Guess they forgot the old WWII saying..., "loose lips sink ships". and why is he getting "rewarded" by getting to keep his presnt rank for retirement??? (3yr req'd to vest rank pay grade)
