Thanks

On behalf of Marta and myself, thanks to all of you guys and girls for coming to our get-together, it went off better than we had hoped and we really can't thank you enough for being there. We both found ourselves saying this afternoon that we wish we all lived closer together so that this could be a more frequent kind of thing!

Marta was worried that all we'd do is talk about cars and mods, etc. but soon came to realize that there's a lot more to an event like this among the members of X5World. I've never been around a group of people who don't break off into cliques and become seperatists, but last year at Juan's and this year here in DC, it never once happened, and I see that as a very good thing.

In addition to thanking everyone for attending and participating in the meet, I have to give a special thanks to:
Roc3b- for express shipping those custom made shirts for me
Sunil- for printing out all the dashtags for us
Greg- for giving me the organizational template for the event, and for the moral support
Eugene's wife, Mae- for making and bringing the food that I begged her to make last year at Juan's
Tijanaw and Jen- for bringing the Panera and the T-John chicken
Suave, Jan and Juan- for bringing all of the great prizes
Joanna- for bringing that tiramisu
Eric- for giving out the xoutpost.com stickers and for bringing me some see-gars (I need to come to Chicago soon and I'll bring them along and we can FINALLY light some up together)
Clint- for helping to carry stuff from the curb into my house after the meet
Laura- for bringing so much downhome Italian food and helping to get organized and cleaned up and the moral support while I was planning this thing...jeez, you did a lot and you never stopped trying to do more to lend a hand, thank you!
Jeff- for helping me load and haul things, run errands, WASH DISHES (I am not kidding!), and so much more while you were here, you went out of your way, man!

Thanks again to everyone for attending, it couldn't have been a success without all of you and your S/O's!

I can't end this post without expressing my sincere thanks to all y'all for getting those gifts for me and my X5. I'm very grateful and I've already got plans to go to it with the Wayne's Towels and oven mitts and the Porter Cable Orbiter this week and maybe finally become a member of the Zaino cult!

Now I go back to being what my signature says I am. Marta and I always have cold beer, hot food, and a decent place to crash if you're ever in the area, and most of you have my #, so punch it, anytime!

Thanks again, everyone!

JV

Thanks JV. You and Marta made it look easy but I know it was a lot of work putting this meet together. That fact was confirmed at the restaurant. The table re-org. nuff said.

JV (and Marta) - the pleasure was all ours. The two of you went above and beyond the call of duty, and the results speak for themselves.

Thank you, my friend, for everything!

Jeff
