LM,
As #10 on your roster, we are hoping to be able to get there that
eve. As I posted earlier, we are in Glens Falls, NY that day chasing
the ball with our FLA neighbors who live in GF,NY during the summer.

It's nearly 200 miles from their club to Tarrytown...and that would
include the fun "sitting on westbound 287 around Nanuet, in dinner
time traffic, heading for the TZ Bridge" segment, too.

I'm just not poz, sitting here in early Oct., that we will be able to
run off our friends' course, smelling like goats, wave goodbye, jump in our
car and boogie south that 3+ hours to dinner. We also have to get down/back
to Cherry Hill, NJ that night: another 120 miles and 2 1/2 hours.

No excuses, but it doesn't look good from here; the logistics and
distances are just out of my realm for a dinner, minus alcohol, lol!

The Tarrytown shot puts another 45 mins-hour "each way" for us and
it may make it a moot point. Sorry, but that's the best estimate and
prognosis I can give here this eve.

MD, you will be coming down I-87 south and I287 east across TZ bridge.
You can also take 84 east and down on I684, smooth sailing at that hour.

If you are coming from west on 287 eastbound then it should not be a problem in the evening. I287 westbound gets more busy after 5pm and even with construction going on its not that bad. It clears up by 6:30pm.

If you want to make it easier for MD (and for me!), I could think of something good in either Rockland County or Bergen County. There are plenty of nice places in the area. Let me know if that idea is ok with everyone and I could make some suggestions.

Menu looks fine but could use a New York Or Rib Eye.
Where's the wine list and the desert Menu. "I'm getting hungary.

I'd drive up in traffic to have dindin with mD in a heartbeat. Golf up past Lake George and then dinner with jackets required What about north NJ somewhere. We are mostly from NJ and LI. I don't want to lose peeps due to the location. Playerpro hoping to stay close to home...

LM, et al...
Thank you for the accommodation and driving ideas.
I know the couple ways how to get "there", lol.

My dilemma, as I posted originally, is that we are
"in the tristate area", but it's a reach and we are
unsure of plans for that Tuesday. We had intended
to chase the ball with our friends and stay with them
that night. When the dinner date came up on the old
juke box, I suggested we might be able to attend.

I do not know our/their Tee time on Tuesday, outside
of Glens Falls, NY. And here on 50th anniv. Sputnik day,
I can't guarantee we can be anywhere on Tuesday night,
Oct. 16, in time for dinner.

Do whatcha all decide to do and don't stand on heads
to accommodate us. As it gets closer, we will try to be
there, or else we cannot make it. Thanks.

Wanna do Ruth Chris's steakhouse again? That is drivable for tri-state peeps. Don't see any CT members on the list.
