Yo doodler, here in Oz (that's a hint about our location in our native slang) we have a whole industry devoted to the importing of 2nd hand japanese cars. We also have a habit of taking shortcuts with words (see above re location) as some people overseas can't say "orstraaayliyaaaah" . We like to keep things simple see, and down here (in "orstraaayliyaaaah") we all know that 'jap imports' is simply a local shortening of the term 'japanese imports', not a slagging off (derogatory expression) of the japanese culture.

CMYX5GO was POLITELY trying to point out that you may have the wrong idea by taking offense when none is intended... or in our language.....

fair dinkum (I am slightly incredulous) you are a nong (fool/idiot).... stop trying to start a barney (argument/fight) about sweet F.A. (*uck all = nothing). You haven't got a clue (no idea) what you're on about (poor knowledge on a subject)

Hoo roo (bye for now)

PS. we also use the term china (country in asia) when addressing a friend as it is shortened/rhyme for (china plate = good mate). try and run THAT one up a flag pole.......

Sorry to offend you, but you clearly have never been involved in the "Jap Import" scene, or you would know this is what the whole world calls it.
BTW is that a half haked women in your profile pic??? Guess that makes you a sexist pig..... I'm sure you get my drift....also you don't sound too Aussie to me so stop visiting my thread if you don't have anything useful to say.....

Whoa, stone the bloody crows. What the f@#k 's going on here?

I work with a fantastic elderly American guy who's been out here (Gold Coast) for about 8 months now and he still can't get over how we unashamedly bastardise the english language. He is still looks at me like I've grown a third ear every other day and asking me to translate for him. I even bought him an Aussie slang book to help him with our native tongue. He still can't grasp how we call a redhead bloke with freckles Blue.

But he loves orstraaayliyaaaah and everything we have on offer including our fruit salad mix of orstraaayliyens which is made up of us, kiwis, wogs, poms, yarpys, yanks, ruskies, japs and chingers. This is our language and we make no apologies. We also bear no grudges nor let the past impact on living our lives with those from elsewhere.

But anyway I hope that 'sleepless' does actually take a sleeping pill and has a little lie down, chills out and goes to sleep then wakes up all happy n stuff like the rest of the guys (n gals) on this fantastic site. Settle down sunshine.

BTW my yank mate calls Jap imports 'rice cookers', he didn't raise an eyelid when I told what we call them. Believe me, he is not racist.

Back to the topic, if any runs are being organised in SE Qld I'm in

Likewise here, I'd also love to go on a run. My only issue is that it has to be in SE Qld.
Most surprised that their aren't more members here from the GC
