Bill Spoon's Barbeque (owned and operated by -- you guessed it -- Bill Spoon) has been around for more than 40 years. It is considered to be the best authentic Eastern NC Barbeque (vinegar-based, no tomato) in Charlotte.

To give you an idea of what this place is like, I've put a couple of links below. I am still amused by the sign that he has next to the register (wich Bill himself operates): "We take cash, checks, and promises. We don't take plastic." If you do not have cash, he WILL give you an IUO, and you can mail him the check.
