Yep, In some capacity. Not sure what I will be actually participating in, if anything.

what an underwhelming response! I do have to admit, I did not notice many (any?) X5s in Ft Worth 2 yrs ago - guess most feel this is not an X5 event

Went today at the last minute for Bimmermeet and to watch my buddy qualify for a BMWCCA race. Not many X5's at all near the track. May have seen 2 total.

I know, I feel bad - I live 15 minutes from all of the activities that happened last week and was unable to find time to attend

Well, I did make it for Tues-Fri - ran my first autocross - was the fastest X5 for the same reason I was the slowest X5 - missed the course walkthru because my clocks were still set on Mountain time, so I was still doing alot of learning during my 5 runs - still, it was a blast! - I'm hooked - ordered my own helmet (borrowed one at the event) - plan on doing more
In the "Where's Waldo?" segment. anyone seen a blue X5 with the number "229"? Then you've seen me. Presently in western CT, but hopefully due to start traveling back down to SC soon - Which will mean my brother-in-law will be home and fully recovering from cancer surgery - Said surgery confirmed the chemo did get all the throat cancer, so with prayers and thanks, he should be home next week

I ended up going on Saturday for the BimmerMeet and to watch my friend qualify for the club race. Sort of a last minute thing. I missed everything at Lake Lanier. http://www.xoutpost.com/off-topic/lo...ta-photos.html

last mention - page 76 of the Oktoberfest issue of Roundel has me & my X5 turning & burning on the Autocross - part of my Andy Warhol 15 minutes of fame - the burning came from a loose manifold bolt that missed tightening during a gasket replacement just before heading east & Oktoberfest

I saw that a while back. Looks like you are realling getting into that corner.
The article mentioned that your X was one of the more "rare" BMW's in the autocross.
