when's the next one and where?

I woke up Saturday morning, rolled over and w/ a sad look on my face; asked my girlfried if she knew where we should be at that moment. of course, she was clueless, but once i responded "Tega Cay, SC" she too frowned.

I wish I could have made it; however, Mom's b-day fell on the same weekend!
I look forward to seeing all the pics!

If I had my way I'd still be down in Tega Cay having a great time with everyone. The time flew by so fast that I didn't have a chance to do even a fraction of what I wanted to do, or to spend enough time with everyone that was there getting to know them even better.

I'm sure there will be more soon, although winter is quickly arriving. I predict someone will step up and organize the next one

Well, it was a great time, but Moms' B'Days are right up there on the gotta be there scale, imo.

I can gladly start planning the second one for sometime in the spring or early summer -- when the pool's open! Rent the whole thing for an entire day, if we can. We can make a whole weekend out of it. Maybe take our X5s for a lap or two at Lowes Motor Speedway, or caravan up to the mountains... dunno...

If people don't mind driving down here, I don't mind planning it and putting it together. We can have a mod fest (planned mods, that is

), and now that Hendrick (my local dealer) knows of the event, maybe we can get them a little more involved - maybe have a couple of cars there for us to drive. We have a lot of options.

If it's not too far into the future, we should try to plan a gathering for when the Spartanburg plant is back to allowing tours. I definately want to go through that facility sometime soon.

That would put us at some time in September, which would be a perfect time, I think: weather is still very nice but not too hot, and the pool should still be open! Heck, if possible, we'll ask Hendrick to bring the new X5 to the 'Meet for us to look at, if they have it already.
