You'll be in DC, baby! EVERYTHING costs more here! BUT! You will have lunch on me on Saturday and everyone leaves with a prize too! Dinner will not be too expensive if you choose to come along.

I am going to call the RC now and see if they can hook something up for us.

I'm not sold, either way, yet. But, we are coming.

It isn't really the dough, it's the principle of a qtr of a grand for 6 hours with my eyes closed, lol!
or a half a grand in my case

I have a reservation for the RC as well. Now all I have to do is wait and drive.

I just spoke with Lauren in Group Sales at the RC Pentagon City, she confirmed what Juan said- we'd need at least 10 rooms booked for the group rate of $179 per night. IF we get that kind of committment, I can go down there tomorrow and hook it up, maybe even get some free parking out of the deal.

I know Michelle, Laura, Juan, Eugene, David and Eric are in, that's 6, so 4 more to go.

No pressure, y'all. Just chime in when you get some idea, and I TOTALLY understand the $89 per night vs. $189 per night philosophy. Hell, I'm unemployed for Chrissakes!

BTW, that RC does a kick ass Sunday brunch and wouldn't it be convenient if we all met up there on Sunday morning...

JV: I looked at the Brunch deal, and was not put off by the retail plus 30% they wanted extra...my concern was hanging for a brunch and then doing 8+ hrs home much later in the day, that Sunday.

But, if they budge a tad, or we get to the "number" and theCEO wants to hang around for a 3800 calorie b'fast, we may.

Either way, we are in the RC and look forward to it.
Thanks for doing all this humping and work, my Friend!
BR, md

PS: as I have posted before, the Ritz used to have some of the finest towels I've ever used on this ol'bod...some even crawled into my carry-on to hide. I would discover them when I got home. They, after dozens of washings, still make for some of the best car drying towels on the planet,

JV, are you saying they don't have a big parking lot where we can park the
X5 ourselves?
