Doesen't seem like I'm going to get a lot of help here, so custom shop here I come.

They used to be commonplace... And then safety happened...

You heard the man. Lets find him a shop that will do it. Believe me the wife will be the least of his worries.

For the sake that you are serious it can be done. If you truly have the cash to purchase the car for you 16 year old, I'm certain if you simply ask your bmw dealer who might be able to transform it, they'll know of someone. You do live in LA, there are shops a plenty that can do some amazing things with any vehicle. Take a picture of the car or a pile of sh!t, whichever is appropriate.

This is too much fun. Haven't found a custom M5 conversion shop yet (!!) but here is a joint in Florida that is cutting up perfectly good Chrysler 300s. Structural integrity is negotiable. I bet they would do one in yellow. Four doors even. And if you like, you could put an M5 badge on the back. Tell her that Daimler Benz got tired of owning Chrysler, sold it to BMW, and this is an early production model. She will have the only one at school.

If you don't like the Chrysler, they will cut the roof off a four-door Cadillac DTS for you. So many choices.

We are here to help.

If money is not an object, then contact Fisker coachbuild and they will make you a custom BMW M5 convertible - a state of art unique M5 of it kind in the world.

This is what he did with the BMW 6-series.
