No way. I'm calling total BS on that one until I actually see some BMW press releases. It's a total photoshop of the M6 that had produced offspring with the Mercedes CLS. Looks like ass. :thumbdown

With each generation of the 3er growing in overall dimension, BMW are looking to integrate the 5er much differently in the future.

"The executive car with a difference" is how management want to see the next generation of the 5er. The front lights are more angular and aggressive and the rear follows the form of the current 5er but will be much smaller.

Questioning the sanity of the CLS-Klasse - what has it done to the sales of the high end E-Klasse models, and with the new C-Klasse - what will happen to the entry and mid E-Klasse?

BMW see this dilema as offering the one car only and really seperate the 5er from the competition. 5er will still be a sedan with conventional four doors and b pillars but the design will be like a coupe. The idea is to build a executive sedan and clothe it in an exciting body to seperate it from it's rivals.

Total copy of the MB CLS - Waaah. Photoshopper did a good job, but has no creativity.

I think it looks great. Interesting dilemma for BMW, with the E90 growing up into the old 5 series size, and a smaller 1 series below that, both bracketing the 5 on the bottom end, and the 7 series on top, they are going to have to do something to differentiate the new 5. This type of approach makes sense to me.
